Top Ten Plants In Amazon Rain Forest..

 Amazon rain forest is the world's largest tropical rain forest.It covers north Western Brazil,Colombia,Peru,Bolivia,Eccuador, France,Guyana and Venezuela.Thousands of river including Amazon are present here.Area of Amazon rain forest is 5.5 million km^2.In this forest various types of rare plants, animals, insects,reptiles,birds are visible  in this forest.Now I discussed about top ten rare plants of Amazon rain forest are as follows.

1.Rubber Tree -

Botanical Name - Hevea brasiliensis

Rubber tree are found in Amazon region of south America.This tree is over 100ft in long.It suited for hot and wet climates in the tropical rain forest. Their leaves are spiral in shape and flowers are very small .Aerial roots of rubber tree come to the ground and form more tree trunks .This plant species a quickly growing species .The tree mature height after thirteen years.In 1839 Charles good year introduced the process called vulcanization in which rubber extracted from high temperature .The life span of a rubber tree is up to 100 years .Rubber is a most important product and rubber tree is an important source of natural rubber .This natural rubber is made from the milky whites contain latex that comes from a tree.

3.Heliconia -

Botanical Name- Heliconia latispatha

It belongs to class liliopsida,family Heliconiaceae.This plant found in tropical south America and west Indonesia.This plant have decorative flower and fruit are blue, purple in colour.It is an important good source of hummingbird in Amazon rain forest.It is a mildly toxic plant to cats.

4.Cacao-

Botanical Name- Theobroma cacao

It is an evergreen tree of family malvaceae in Amazon rain forest.Its seed used to make chocolate,cocoa butter and solid.In raw cacao potassium,zinc, copper, calcium are present.It also reduce the risk of diabetes.

5.Passion flower-

Botanical Name- Passiflora edulis

It is a beautiful white and purple flowering plant.Its vine is very beautiful and attractive with edible fruit and flowers.It is upto 20feet long.This plant found in South America and North America.Its fruit is used as a heart tonic and useful for caught.It is also used as a herb in Amazon rain forest for stress and anxiety.It is a beautiful plant of Amazon rain forest.

6.Coffee plant -

Botanical Name- Coffea arabica

This plant is an most international valuable commodity after oil.It is found in South and North America.This plant grown in high altitude area.It is upto 30feet long.The life span of coffee plant is minimum 100 years.Its flower are small and fragrant.Coffee beans are the seed of a fruit known as coffee cherry.

This plant belongs to family bromeliaceae.This plant grow from the ground of the Amazon rain forest.It has stiff,long leaves which collect water in rain.Its flower is very deep in colour.It is a tropical house plant and nontoxic plant for animals.Its life span is two to five years.
